REMINDER: BOTH ASSIGNMENTS DUE MONDAY

Hand out info. the sub will have for you in hard copy Friday (4-10)

Abstract Composition: Student has created a final unique composition composed of 6 best abstract images (from the 100 you took). 

·         13 x 19 inches

·         The viewer can't tell there are 6 photos merged together-you have blended and warped and placed the photos strategically so the photos work together

·         No white space showing

·         You have evidence of: Rule of thirds, juxtaposition (contrast), a point of interest (focal point), rhythm, and unity, overlap 

·         It is unique, creative, and thoughtful 

·         Photos used are abstract

·         3 drafts total

·         The best final image is flattened, saved a s a .jpg, and printed (if fee has been paid)

Tips to try in Photoshop: Have you tried: multiplying images, altering opacity, color balance, black and white, distort/warp, refine edge, overlap, smudge, quick selection, rotating

Artist Rendition: Student has researched 3 photographers and completed Power Point, including 3 of his/her own copycat photos.

·         (40%) Power Point research and image examples on 3 chosen artists

o    15 example images for each artist

o    Questions from blog answered for each artist thoroughly, easy to follow

o    Artists chosen are from designated time periods (pre 40s, 50s-80s, now)

·         (40%)3 of your best copycat/replicates photos added to end of Power Point

o    Must be side by side with original photograph (label your photos and the original photo so I know which is which)

o    Must be edited in Photoshop (adjustments layer at least)

o    Following questions answered on slide after your copycats:

o    Copy cats are ALSO uploaded to your blog along with original

·         (20%) Participation in group critique

If it is not emailed to me, it will not be graded

If it is not submitted by Monday, you will not get higher than a Partially Proficient
